Blue’s been referred . . .

to those lovely vets at North West Surgeons in Frodsham, same vet’s who helped with her cruciate ligament damage 2 yrs ago.

This time though it seems it’s not her cruciate ligament that’s causing the problem, it seems to be a cartilage problem, we’re thinking something like OCD ( Osteochondritis Dissecans) which I won’t try to explain here, but you can click the external link I’ve tagged to it.

The short of it is that she is lame in her rear left leg and is finding it difficult to put weight on it for long periods, which means she’s favouring the leg that had the TPLO surgery on 2 yrs ago and we don’t want her doing this, as there’s a chance this may cause complications with that leg.

So it’s a referral to find out if there’s any sort of surgery that can be performed to reduce the cartilage issues and hopefully get her back to her old self, only thing we’ve got to worry about is how much it’s going to cost, the last lot of surgery she had ended up costing £4500, so this could easily surmount this, what with the rate of inflation the way it is.

Just got to wait till Wednesday 5th June when she’s had her examination and they tell us the good/bad news.
