Wet Nose in the morning . .

I’m laid in bed, Mel’s already got up and gone to work and I’m 1/2 sleep and all I can feel is a damp breath inch’s from my nose, not fully understanding what or who it is, just laying there trying to get my brain to wake up and make me open my eyes to find out what manner of beast is stood above my face, looking down and dribbling . . . dribbling . . it suddenly hits me and my brain finally kicks into action . . it only mean one thing . . yep Blue our newly adopted dog has got into bed with me after Mel’s gone to work, and that damp breath I can feel is coming from a very big nose and an even bigger mouth, which thankfully doesn’t have usual doggy breath you’d think it would have.

As soon as I open my eyes I can see a doggy face that seems to be saying “Wheres my food?” “I want a walk”, so instead of the usual extra45 mins lay-in that I used to enjoy so much I happily pull on my muddied jeans from the previous mornings tromp across the field and go find Blue’s harness and lead.

I’m really enjoying having a dog again, I’m even actually enjoying getting up way before my usual times and taking Blue for her morning constitutionals, its just getting my sleep-addled brain used to being woken up by warm doggy breath at 6-6:30am that I’m finding hard to get used to . . . . think I’m going to have to set an alarm clock so I can beat Blue to it and maybe sit above her face breathing slowly into her nostrils and waiting to see the look on her face as her brain suddenly wakes up
