Tesco Pet Insurance have been in contact

Had a call from a representative of Tesco Bank today, in relation to my twitter barrage and the RT’s of my followers and friends on that wonderful social network.

They informed me they are attempting to contact my Vets and the referred practice’s Surgeon to discuss Blue’s previous injury and her present injury, they will then make a decision on what to do next (whatever that means, presume it’s either honour the claim or not honour the claim)

So its just a waiting game now until they ring me back later today, in the meantime why don’t you check out the review of Tesco’s Pet Insurance by the 155 sort of satisfied customers here, have a read and you can make your own mind up as to whether they are the Insurance company for your pets . . .  I thought they were the right one for me, but at the moment I’m not so sure  . .  you decide

For those of you who have asked about Blue and hows she’s doing :

Blue’s fine though very bored, since we found out what her problem was in her leg, she’s been under house arrest so to speak, she’s only allowed out on one 15 minute walk a day and toilet breaks in the garden.

The thing you do notice about her injury straight away though is the loss of muscle mass on her affected leg, this is down to her not being able to use it, put any weight on it, so it’s literally wasting away before our eyes, she now has the leg of a supermodel all skinny and boney,  medication wise she’s on anti-inflammatory s and Tramadol for pain management, which is helping her a lot and is at least allowing her some semblance of mobility.

Her day’s are taken up with gouching on the sofa while we are at work watching the Jeremy Kyle show and Judge Judy, these being her 2 favorite programmes, she’s not allowed upstairs at all now, so has had to become used to sleeping in the living room and not at the foot of our bed or on the landing (these being her previously favourite spots to catch 40 winks), she’s also missing waking me and Mel up in the middle of the night to say she wants out, so we’re having to set and alarm to wake us up in order to prevent her leaving a mess in the morning.

She’s also missing her weekend jaunts to Electrik Bar in Chorlton where she is their regular pub/bar dog and receives her sausages and pats from the locals.

So this is Blues life at the moment,  but we can’t afford for anything else to happen to her injury wise and until we can resolve this situation and get her operated on this is the life she will have to live and may well end up being the life she has to live for the foreseeable future
