Sunday’s walking our dog used to be so much fun, then the field opposite (Broadway Park), where we walk our dog started to get more and more litter dumped on it and the culprits it would seem are the Sunday Football leagues who play there.

Now these same Sunday footballers who happily complain about mine and other dog’s littering the field, are indeed littering it themselves, however unlike myself and other dog walkers who are obliged by the law to pick up there litter/dog waste or be fined, it appears they are not seemingly obliged, so every Monday morning me and Blue are greeted by between 2-4 separate areas of litter spread across about 20sq ft of the fields, these litter area’s consist of discarded water/high energy drink bottle’s, food wrappers, plumbers tape (used to keep sock and shin-pads in place) and other sports associated litter.

Now if this isn’t bad enough, it would seem that the footballers are now using the surrounding woodland as there own public toilet and leaving discarded used toilet paper as proof of this . .  maybe the council should start providing them with Human Bags and get them to clean their poo up after them, they could even provide a Human bin specifically for the footballers waste.

Anyway I’ve made my 2nd complaint to Trafford council, the first being over 3 weeks ago, which has yet to bear fruit, hopefully now they know footballers are fouling the field so to speak they might do something about it.

Heres hoping anyway . . . if not I’ll just have to go out on the field this Sunday and provide the footballers with number of bin-bags and donated Doggy bags for their waste. . .
