Spam Spam Spam Spam and more Spam

Spam email

It would appear some one’s decided to spoof my domain address in order to bulk send some spam emails, how do I know this you ask ?

Well because I’ve just spent over 1-2 hrs deleting well in excess of 3000-4000 delivery failures that have turned up in my mailbox this evening all advertising OEM Software down loadable from a couple of well dodgy websites, I’ve attempted to contact my hosting company who also deal with my email to enquire as to a way to block these spam emails, but guess what they all went home at 8pm, so I’ve had to delete them all manually in case there’s some real mail amongst it all, I’ve attempted to contact these very same spammers asking politely if they will desist from spoofing my email address’s but as I thought at the time a pointless exercise, so I’m now considering setting up a denial of service attack on there web-host’s in the vain hope that bring down there website might get the message across, but then again that would be slightly illegal, but what there doing is slightly illegal also.

Its about time govt did something about this sort of thing and passed worldwide laws enabling country’s to shut down websites that advertise via bulk mailed spam(especially those using spoofed email address’s).

Anyway not much more I can do about ti now except wait until my support desk opens tomorrow and complain and ask if they can help me out on this one.
