Prunnet.exe = Trojan

Yes me the IT Systems Support guru has indeed got a virus on his PC and is in the process of removing the nasty little bastard, so far I’ve attempted to reboot into Safe Mode and run Malwarebytes, but everytime I boot into Safe Mode my screen just goes black and it won’t let me do anything, so no matter how hard I’ve tried I can’t run Malwarebytes that way, even ried running it from the normal Windows logon, but again due to the screen flashing/closing down and re-opening every 10-15 seconds, its not even giving me enough time to click on the Malwarebytes icon to start the program.

So how have I managed to start to get rid of this Virus/Trojan, well I’ve had to take my hard drive out of my PC and install it in another as a secondary drive and I’m now using the Malwarebuytes software installed on that PC to scan the D:/ Drive and so far its found 14 suspicious files, once this has finished I’ll check the log out and then remove the infected files, after I’ve done this I’ll run a Virus scan and see what that brings up, finally after rebooting I’ll run the Malware software again and just to be sure another Virus scan and then I’ll install the drive back in my own PC and pray to god its worked and I can get back on my own PC.

Its been a fcuking nightmare so far, spent well over 4-5hrs on this trying to figure out how to remove it as there is’nt much on the Net for how to remove Prunnet.exe if you can’t get into Safe Mode.

Anyway best get back to scanning and will post back when I succeed in removing the fcuking thing
