Painters and Decorators

So its Sunday . . the supposed day of rest, well it might be restful for everyone else, but it was’nt for me, I had to go into work today to lock the building up after the painters and decorators had been in.

They were there to Spary Paint one of our walls with a copper colored paint, however after discovering that spray painting involves lots of mist (paint mist) they realised that if they carried on they’d end up covering everything in a thin viel of copper paint, so they instead painted it on, which looking at the results was’nt the best thing to do, I’m not looking forward to Monday morning when the MD see’s it and kicks off, oh joy.

Anyway I was supposed to only be here for about 1/2 hr to lock up after them, however it seems they’ve used the DC entrance into the building, which also happens to be a door I dont have a key for, so after much frenzied ringing round keyholder’s I eventually managed to get hold of Carl (took me about 1hr to find a keyholder who had his mobby switched on) who kindly came and locked it for me.

Anyway I’m now at home pondering the mystery’s of life and what exactly I’m going to buy Mel for Chrsitmas.

  1. To be honest they should have known better. If you use an hvlp paint sprayer there is little overspray if you know what you are doing. They would have sprayed wd40 over any surrounding metal work(using sheets for the floor) and wiped off any overspray quickly.
Copper paint isn’t meant to be brushed you won’t get the coverage(as you probably noticed!)

  2. I totally agree with Aberdeen Painters.anyway can’t people use traditional way of painting instead modern gadgets. In the end it was only a wall to paint.
