Given up on the Jailbroken iPhone 4

After spending the best part of a week trying to unjailbreak a failed jailbroken iPhone 4, I’ve given in the towel and admitted defeat.

After trying just about every piece of software out there from TinyUmbrella through to RedSnow and even iTunes itself, all I seemed to get when I tried to restore the iPhone via iTunes was a different error code every time, even when I googled these error codes and followed the instructions to resolve them, they just resulted in new error codes.

Upon even further investigation I discovered that this was likely due to an actual hardware failure of the iPhone, so I’ve admitted defeat and told the MD that the phone is dead/kaput/pushing up daisies.

Hoped that maybe we might get a bit of cash back on it from somewhere like Mazumma, but alas only £30 is being offered by them for broken iPhone’s.

So what have we learnt from this . .  well I’ve learnt how to jailbreak an iPhone and the rest have learnt the expensive lesson of not to jailbreak an iPhone if you don’t know what your doing.
