Weekend Synopsis

Friday :

Stayed in and watched a Korean Language movie entitled “Brotherhood” ” (Korean Title “Tae-Guk-Gi”) directed by Kang Je-kyu (Shiri)

Its the story of two brothers who are unwillingly drafted into the South Korean army during Korean War of 1950. The eldest brother strives to protect his younger sibling from the horrors of the battlefield while struggling to find a way to have get him out of the army so he can return to their village and family, as the war progresses, the horror and violence they see begins to have an effect on each of them and ultimately drives the brothers apart

Really enjoyed this movie, even though it was subtitled it was worth watching

Movie trivia : “Tae-Guk-Gi” is the most expensive Korean film ever made, costing 13 billion won ($12 million), with a cast of top Korean stars. The mammoth battle scenes required 25,000 extras and nine months to shoot.

Saturday :

Spent the day at Sale Water Park with Mel and Blue, had a long walk around the lake and then spent a couple of hours investigating all the water meadows and country walks they have round there, all in all was a really nice day and while we were there we got to see about 5-10 New Found land Dogs taking part in water rescue exercises. Think Blue defiantly enjoyed meeting all the dogs that were there. Here’s some photo’s we took

Headed to Chorlton green afterwards for a refreshing beer and some chillage. . ., while we were there we discovered Blue has a taste for Beer, I foolishly turned my back on Blue and turned round to see her finishing the 1/2 pint I had left, Mel then proceeded to allow her to finish the dregs she couldn’t quite reach

Video evidence below

John Fiddy came round in the evening for a bit of XBoxing, played Gears of War with him for most of the night then watched Alien on the box and eventually dropped John off at Amanda’s to pick up Sophie.Sunday:

Just spent it in bed and around the house, so not really done much this weekend except exercise Blue.
