Yep another year of Giant Bradley day over and done with, as per usual the local population of Market Weighton used the day as an excuse to get totally rat-arsed and to settle scores.
In total last night I saw about 5-6 fights kick off between blokes who where way to young to understand that fightings a mugs game or where just to plain stupid to realise they were making dicks of themselves, maybe next year they should call it Giant Fight Night instead of Giant Bradley day.
Anyway the weekend was a total waste, I managed to see me mate Gary for about 1/2 an hour or so and had a natter about life in general, also met a lad called Chris who for 24yrs old was fairly compusmentase about life in general, will look him up again teh enxt time I’m back.
Anyway the highlight of the day was when they unvieled the Statue of Giant Bradley which had been carved out a soldi tree trunk, though looking at it I think it’s going to be scaring a lot of kiddies in years to come
This is why I avoid it like the Plague!!! Oh and agree about the weird date for the celebration…his death But hey this is Market Weighton!!!
I was speaking to another weighton resident, who suggested that they should include a boxing ring next year so at least when these fools fight, they can at least do it in a semi-civilised manner and maybe stick to the Queensbury rules.
The Ladies Public Toilets got extensively damaged on Giant Bradley Day. The toilets were ripped off the wall!!!!
Why ? ! Why ? ! do they do these things ? !
The Londesborough Arms was open until 3 am ! That Hotel is going downhill fast.
Dontcha just love Market Weighton, if they can’t take it out on each other they decide to take out on toilets, but hey from what i can remember from my youth in Market Weighton, half of the drinking population think public urination is the norm, so why do they need toilets, lets just rip em all off the wall !
Can’t say Manchester does’nt have its fair share of idiots, but thankfully the place is so big you only ever see new idiots all the time not the same one’s every weekend
