My middle name at the moment, seems I’ve got 3 different laptop repairs on the go

Here’s the first, thankfully this ones just a case of a hard drive secure wipe & then a fresh install of Windows 7, had Home Basic on it, so upgrading it to Ultimate. Don’t understand why Microsoft has so many flavours of Windows 7 tbh, well unless it’s to make even more profit.

Here’s laptop No 2, not 100% sure what’s wrong with this one yet, but will begin looking at it once the install on the others well on its way, hoping its nothing serious, as I hate opening up HP Laptops, anyhow will know soon enough.

So why am I repairing all these laptops ?

Well lucky for my friends I work in IT and any time they have an IT issue they ask me to help out, which is fine as long as there paying, but a lot just think that you’ve got all this free time with nothing better to do then repair other peoples computers.

I used to charge in ciggys, but now I’ve stopped smoking people have to actually pay me in Money or spirits, preferably Gin or Brandy, usually it’s in spirits as they find it easier to part with money in a shop for the booze, than actually passing me some money, strange I know.

Anyway I enjoy the challenge at the end of the day & if I didn’t want to do it I’d tell them, plus I’m always learning something new every time I repair/reinstall a machine.
