Well ok it was actually this morning, spent about 45-60mins on the phone getting directed from one dept to another until finally someone in Parking Dept finally answered.

So I explained to them that I wasn’t in Lambeth on the 8th March ! I was at work and I’d posted the proof to them, i.e. the Key Card Logs from work showing where and when I’d been in the building and seeing as the building was in Manchester, it would be very difficult for me to clock in at work at 8.30am and then leave work and be in Lambeth parking my car illegally at 9.08am.

I then asked what proof they had it was my car

“Erm we issued you a ticket sir”

Well hold on I thought traffic wardens now took pictures of the cars they ticketed, well in Lambeth it seems they don’t, so how do they know its my car and not a clone . .

“Well Sir we contacted the DVLA when issuing the ticket reminder and they informed us it was your car”

So they issue me the ticket because it has my number plate on it, did’nt they check the tax disc,

“Erm no sir”

Anyway after about 30 minutes of this I ask them what are they going to do about ?

“We’ll pass it onto our Appeals Manager who will contact you some time in the next 56 day’s”

And will you send me all the evidence you have that it’s my car ?

“The Appeals manager will do this sir”

So that could be in 56 day’s time ?

“Yes Sir”

So in the meantime if I want to pass this information onto a Solicitor in case in 56 day’s time your Appeals Manager again says I have to Pay I can’t put together a case to sue your sorry ass for wasting my time and the publics money, I have to wait up to 56 day’s to get this eveidnece ?

“Erm Yes Sir”

So here I am with a £120 fine hanging over my head which could increase to £200 + bailiff’s expenses and I have to wait 56 days to get any evidence which may prove that it isn’t my car . . .
