Heres Blue enjoying Market Weighton

Well now I’ve cleared the air with my rant about Tesco’s, I can tell you all about the rest of my weekend at my mum’s.

I took this weekend as an opportunity to introduce mum to the newest member of the Elgey/Moore clan, the dog that we all know and love “Blue”.

As expected my mum was not to pleased at first as she seemed to think that if I couldn’t afford to feed myself how the hell was I going to be able to feed a 8 stone dog, but after some gentle persuasion of Blue giving her the sad eyed look that only a Cane Corso can give, I think her heart melted and she saw what we saw a gentle big dog who had loads of love to give. . . . though mum was a little annoyed at the fact that Blue decided her double bed was the best place to rest after a long day of trudging through muddy fields and swollen streams (sorry mum the mud will wash off Honest!).

Spent most of the weekend just taking Blue on really long walks around Market Weighton, took her along Hudson’s Way and down to Spring Wells also known as Ladys Well, also took Blue to investigate Beverley Westwood a large area of common land situated on the outskirts of Beverley, she seemed to really enjoy that as there was loads of space for her to run and lots of woods to investigate.

The best bit of all he walks were probably Hudsons Way as its along an old railway line and she got to meet other dogs

She also seemed to like the flooded corner of the football fields off Goodmanham Road

To be honest I probably enjoyed it all even more then Blue, the exercise was good for not only her but me as well . .

  1. Best thing we did was get a dog!

Weighton is the best place for walking dogs. We take Jasper down to Springwells when we come up, he loves the freedom and my son thinks it’s great to have all that space.

    He looks enormous, but gorgeous!!

  2. Yeah definitely Spring Wells is the way forward for exercising dogs, walked for miles while i was back and Blue was just as knacker ed as me . .

So what dog you got Andy
