Footballers obviously dont take notice . .

It appears that Sunday League Footballers really don’t give a shot about anything, especially the environment.

I posted last week how I’d put a complaint into Trafford Council about the state of the Football fields on a Sunday after the Leagues had been playing, well I received a reply from said council informing me that they had been in contact with the League that was responsible for Broadway Park and duly I was contacted by a very helpful man called Tony, he’s the League Chairman and assured me that he’d be issuing a notice to the teams who play on the fields informing them that they are required to clean up after them and after the visiting team.

I also received and email Leagues Secretary John (see below)

Sir,

I received a copy of the e-mail you forwarded to Trafford Leisure re Broadway Park.

Our vice chair Mr Tony xxxxxxxxx contacted you by phone to obtain further information to enable us to identify the possible team involved but unfortunately you were unable to provide this information.

However as a league we have contacted all our clubs especially those who use the facilities at Broadway, to remind them of their responsibilities and to warn of the possible penalties should they disregard these.

I would hope that other leagues / users of the Broadway facilities have similarly notified their members.
Should you wish to view our notes issued to our clubs please see these on our league website www.masfl.co.uk
Many thanks for bringing this matter to our attention

Yours in sport

John

League Secretary

Now when I recieved the telephone call and the email I was hopeful that I would’nt have to walk through the mess again this Sunday, however I am disappointed to report that the notices’/warning’s given by the Leagues Chairman and Secretary appear to have fallen on deaf ears.

Now just to show you all that I’m not some sort of busy body with nothing else to do but complain about people, heres a video I took this evening of the mess that the footballers left behind this Sunday

Well after seeing this mess I again contacted Tony, who had actually been down himself and seen the mess left behind and he’d also taken some photo’s of it, which he is going to be using to take action against the teams that were playing on Sunday, he’s also asked me to provide a copy of the Video I recorded and we’re both hoping that now maybe the teams responsible will take notice, because if they don’t he’s again assured me that they won’t be playing on Broadway Park again . .

Remember that these amenities are there for everyone. not just you so clean up after yourself’s people its not that hard a thing to do . . .
