So I’ve not Posted much about this, but I recently rediscovered some Share Certificates I have and was curious to see if they were actually worth anything, so about 2 weeks ago I got in contact with Capita Registrar to investigate and was pleasantly surprised to find out that there worth in excess of 10k 🙂 yep 10k and it’s all mine muahahahahahaha !

While carry out these investigations I also found out that due a clerical error and the fact I’d moved from Market Weighton to Manchester, Capita had stopped sending me my dividends for the Kelda Group shares I held, so after sending a number of letters to let them know I was still around and to verify my new address, they kindly started issuing the dividends again, including all the back-dated one’s.

I was pleasantly surprised this morning when the first lot arrived 🙂 there were 10 cheques in all and these came to a total of £1956, I’ve been informed by Capita that there are 3 more cheques due which should then bring this total up to about £4200 🙂 🙂

So that’s my overdraft paid off, now I’ve just got to decide what I’m going to do with the actual shares.
I’m presently considering selling them, as I’m quite taken with the idea of investing in a Spilt Screen camper for next Summer, so me an Mel have to can do the festival circuit in a fairly comfortable manner, plus it means we can take Blue away with us more often when we go on holiday.

Also looking at the prices of these campers, £7000-£27,000 they appear to be holding there prices well and actually increasing in price, so it should be quite a good investment as well, just got to make sure I purchase a good clean imported one, preferably without any rust at all.
