Common cold . .
I’ve spent the past 2 day’s in bed sneezing, snuffling, coughing and generally being a right grumpy twat, all because of the common cold.
If it’s so bloody common, how come they haven’t found a cure for it yet ?
Probably someone knows that if they ever did find a cure for it, all the money making products that surround having a common cold would disappear, there’d be less tissues being sold, less lemsips, less soup, less throat lozenges.
When you think about it the common cold is one bloody big money maker for the pharmaceutical industry.
Anyway I feel like a bag of shite and I’m going back to bed ..
Well I too have a had a stonking of a cold, cough, shivering with a temperature etc. I find Night Nurse Capsules help on an evening as it knock me out for a relatively good kip on a nite. Felt lousy all week. But alas I have to take my common cold to work with me as NO WORK = NO MONEY. So that I can pass on my cold, sore throat etc onto my customers!!!! Unfortunately being self-employed I am not entitled to sick pay.
Ah ha, have a theory on this one! I think the common cold should never be cured as it boosts our immune system, bear with me…if we cured the one illness we get once a year and our bodies can cure all by itself how would our body be able to fight anything? Its a work out for our immune system.
Plus you get to eat loads and loads of Tunes! We don’t get them over here and the Lemsip tastes like feet….
