Just been out on an errand and seen 2 Police cars stopping traffic to allow a Royal Logistics Bomb Disposal Lorry quick access through the traffic on Chester Road in Stretford, they were heading towards Manchester itself at top speed all sirens blaring . . not heard anything on the news yet, so will have to wait and see what’s on Northwest Tonight when I get home.

UPDATE

Seems all it was was an unexploded mortar shell, the Police set up a 200yrd cordon around it until the Bomb Disposal team came and reviewed it and thankfully it was a dud, so no big explosion
