That’s what my nephew’s got to sort out today, he needs to ring up his DHSS Office back home and find out how he goes about signing on the dole while he’s here in Manchester, hopefully it will just be a case of him visiting a DHSS Office in this area, but knowing how Govt bodies work it will probably be a lot more complicated.
Hoping he can sign on at the Office near my workplace then at least I can give him a lift there in the morning and he can make his own way back, as its not to difficult to find your way back to ours from there.
In work-related matter’s my MD’s given me a list of task’s that I have either not yet completed or as yet to start, and he’s also given me a finish date for each of these tasks, so I’ve got to apparently finish them on time or else ?
As well as doing these tasks I’ve also got to deal with all the normal day to day tasks and the unexpected surprise that are laid at the door of the IT Dept by various members of staff, so as soon as I begin one task I soon have to stop half way through it, drop everything and start on another. That’s the beauty of being part of an IT Dept, everyone is or thinks there your Boss and you answer to them, where really what should happen is they should contact your manager and ask them if it would be possible for you to do some work for them when your available/free etc, that way you might be able to finish a job, before starting another, but hey in an ideal world I’d be rich and dating Angelina, so somehow I don’t think any thing’s going to change, though I might raise this question in my appraisal again this year.
