Well it’s that time of year when our manager pulls us aside for a little chat about how much we’re worth to the company.
Well it seems I’m worth a small bonus and a slight increase, but not the increase I would have liked, anyway a few of us have raised this question with our Manager and are hoping she’ll be chatting with our MD about it, though to be honest I don’t think he’ll pay the slightest bit of notice to her, as he’s already told her to tell us that we aren’t getting an increase because he’s trying to get everyone’s wages in line with each other so we’re all on the same amount, but didn’t he tell her to tell us that very same speech last year and didn’t we all say to each other we hadn’t had a pay increase, so how can it be that if none of us got a pay increase, how can we ever be on the same pay level.
Makes you suspicious of your colleagues when they all say the same thing, it’s none of my business what my colleagues earn, but when your all supposedly told the same thing it makes you wonder who’s lying to you about what your Managers said to them, again it’s none of my business, but why get a manager to tell them that if you don’t want them to tell there fellow workers.
Anyway slight pay increase and a bonus better then a kick in the teeth I suppose.
