Well it’s been a bit of a mad weekend in Yorkshire, I had to rush home on Saturday after recieving a telephone call off my sister Glynis, turns out my mum fell off her bike while riding to a friends, ended up being taken to York Royal Infirmary with a fractured cheekebone and left orbit.

We were also worried about her memory as shes was having problems remembering thins, though this seems to have passed now, was probably due to concusion, Dr’s informed us she had probably bruised her brain in the fall and that this memory loss will/would only be temporary.

Anyway she seems to be taking it well and is on the road to a slow but sure recovery, Dr’s have said that they are not going to operate, there going to leave the healing to nature, so she’s on an assortment of Anti-biotics and painkillers to help with the healing process.

Think me and my sisters are going to have to buy my mum a 3 wheeler or a mobility scooter or something as somehow I don’t think we want her riding her bike again.
