Jackson’s Boat’s Double Cheeseburger

Nearly defeated me today . .  I’ve never seen a burger that big in a while, felt sick after it, not through not enjoying it or anything like that, it was just the amount of meat I had to eat along with the chip’s, it filled me to bursting.

Only ended up in there as we had the dog for the day and seeing as JB’s is dog-friendly we thought we’d have a walk round Sale Marina before hand, really nice walk as well apart from the amount of scally’s doing the same thing today, I aint got a thing against scallies, but taking 4 screaming kid’s associated friend’s relatives and 4 carrier bags of Stella on a country walk is just asking for trouble, no sooner had this lot sat in front of us drinking and throwing sticks for there 3 Staffordshire Bull Terriers to chase, the scally in-arguments started, don’t what they were arguing about, but we thought it was beginning to look a little lairy so made our departure, though they did catch up to us once we’d got to JB’s and it sort of carried on there abit as well, then they left and we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet.

Must warn anyone who ventures to Jackson’s Boat on a hot Sunny day to ensure they are happy with queuing . . I say this because Mel was stood up for about 1/2hr at the bar before we got served, thankfully she ordered the food at the same time, so we only had to wait an hour for it, any longer and I’d have been gnawing at the tables, anyway Alan seemed to enjoy the walk and the fresh air, did me a bit of good as well getting out over the weekend, especially after downing all that Hoegarden at the Polar Bar on the Friday
