So the new PC’s from Dell arrived while I was away in Prague and today I set about setting the first one up, which I hoped was going to be a fairly easy job until I discovered that the Wireless Keyboards we’d ordered from Dell won’t actually work with the systems they’ve supplied . . now why is this you ask, well the wireless transmitters for the keyboards have 2 attachments on them which plug into the back of the PC’s, one of these is a USB connection which is fine as theres more then enough USB slots on the back of the PC, while the other connection is a PS/2, now here lies the problem, there are’nt any PS/2 connections on the back of the PC . . . .

Well I’ve rang and emailed our contact at Dell and am now awaiting there answer to this little problem, should be interesting to see what they come up, I’m guessing they’ll send us a load of PS/2 to USB adapters to resolve the problem, will keep you posted.

In other work news it would appear the painters and decorators we’ve had in have set off the Fire Alarm while spray painting last week and the company’s been fined as this was the 3rd false alarm in 12months . . oh joy
