Dead Starfish on Ainsdale Beach

So went to Ainsdale beach today with Mel and Blue the dog, after we’d walked along the sand dunes we thought we’d walk back along the tideline, no sooner had we got there an started walking we came across a washed up Starfish, we’d never seen a Starfish before so were quite intrigued by it. anyway carried on walking and pretty soon we were seeing more and more of them, by the time we’d walked the mile back to the car we reckon we must have counted well over 1000+ dead Starfish from juvenile to adult Starfish.

We found a few juvenile Starfish still alive and managed to get them back into the sea, just hope they find there way back to where they came fromGot back and googled about this as had heard on the news that 1000’s of Starfish had been washed up on beach’s around Brighton, it seems that this occurs when there’s been storms and suchlike along the actual coast line where the Starfish are found.

Quite a sad sight to see
